Diagnostic criteria for functional abdominal pain has developed in the last decade, from Rome III to IV criteria. The major change was phrase "abdominal related gastrointestinal disorders" "functional disorders (FAPD)". According criteria, FAPD are divided into dyspepsia (FD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), migraine, and pain-not otherwise specified (FAP-NOS). In order diagnose FAPD, it is important pay attention alarm signs that can indicate organic abnormalities. pathophysiology of a complex interaction between psychosocial, genetic, environmental life experiences children through gut brain axis. risk factors include psychological including anxiety depression, stress conditions, negative experiences, socioeconomic status.
